Why come to France with Rob Coffey and Liveonce Adventure?

Rob has an excellent knowledge of the French Alps, having spent a year living in Grenoble. As well as being one of Ireland’s top whitewater and expedition kayakers, Rob has ten years experience working professionally with some of the best names in the business on some of the world’s best rivers- from Sobek and Bundu on the Zambezi, Tiglin in the Alps, Adrift on the White Nile, to Water by Nature in Morocco, and G17 in Norway and Slovenia.

As well as this wealth of experience, Rob is also exceptionally qualified- a Rescue 3 International Whitewater Rescue Technician, Wilderness EMT and ICU Level 4 Instructor

When not guiding professionally, Rob is a full time lecturer in Outdoor Education on the Shackleton Outdoor Adventure Management Program and documentary film maker.

What we’ll be doing?

We’ll be based in quality rented accomadation near the historic town of Briancon, the perfect base to explore the many beautiful rivers of the French Alps. We will be learning how to run class 3-4 whitewater in style using cutting edge new school creek boating technique.
Experienced boaters will have the chance to refine and push their skills, while less experienced paddlers will be equipped with all the skills necessary to enjoy the awesome rivers of the Alps. We will be using small ratios of 3:1 clients to guides so that every client gets personal and unique attention

Evenings will be spent enjoying the unique beauty of the area, and exploring the many multisport opportunities available. So if you have a good roll and want to learn more in one of the world’s best adventure playgrounds come to the Alps with us this summer.

Book now to reserve a place! Cost of the trip is 1050 euro for the week, not including flights. The French Alps are serviced by several large airports and cheap carriers. All pick ups from either Milan or Marseille airport included in the price. Contact us before booking your flight to ensure smooth transfer logistics
